After vieving the EUROVISION website I have become very heartbroken and dissapointed that only 7500 tickets are going to be on sale for EUROVISON 2005 in KIEV.

I am a dedicated Ruslana Fan all the way from AUSTRALIA.
I have been viewing this web site for almost 1 year now and have been hopeing that Ruslana will one day visit us in the land down under for a Tour.

I am in the process of planning a trip to Ukraine around May/June and was wondering if Ruslana will be having any concerts around Europe during this period.
I am very interested in seeing her LIVE in CONCERT and am prepared to travel wherever she may be performing in Europe just so that I can see my Idol singing my favourite tunes.

Please advise me if she has planned any concerts for next year as I need to book my EUROPEAN holiday BY the 31st of DECEMBER 2005!!!!!!

Thanx,

Krescha :o)

Hiya and welcome to the Forum! Wow you seemes to be a real true fan of Ruslana. She would be happy to know about her Australian fan that would pay so much for a trip to Ukraine ;)

only 7500 tickets are going to be on sale for EUROVISON 2005 in KIEV.

huh??!! OMG where did you see that? I check EVERY SINGLE DAY for information on this, because I intend to go there to and will do everything for a ticket. But I havent checked yesterday or today so that info must be fresh anyway...

I am very interested in seeing her LIVE in CONCERT

well, we in the forum have talked about this the last days if Ruslana might do a soloconcert around the days of ESC in Ukraine. Actually, I would be very surprised if she DONT do it. Ruslana is smart and knows how to promote herself. When the "whole world" is paying attention to Ukraine around ESC 2005 and a lot of visitors will arrive. Then she have the perfect moment to show people from a lot of nationalities more of her work and music!
But of course, If I get to know anything more about this. I will let you know ASAP!

Abdi Ipekci Stadium in Istanbul could hold 9.000 spectators and it´s possible, that the Sports Palace in Kiev is a bit smaller than last year´s venue.

By the way, welcome to this forum :-)

Hello, the Kreschoid! I've discovered Ruslana has a cult following in Australia and I think someone needs to let her know so she pays some attention to Australia as well. I'm from Australia too, though originally from Ukraine. What part of Australia are you from?

Wow, thanks so much guys :o)
I now feel like part of the family!

Yeah, I atually e-mailed one of the organisers of Eurovision from one of the e-mails i found on a Eurovision Site.
He actually e-mailed me back and told me the capacity would be around 7,500.

This is the e-mail I got in reply:

Hi,
the release date of the tickets is not yet set.
Please look for further information at the website www.eurovision.tv. The
tickets will be sold over the internet, the venue "The Palace of Sports" in
Kiev will hold approx 7'500 seats.
Best regards
Svante Stockselius
ESC Executive Supervisor

I'm so not happy about the capacity of the stadium!!!!!!
Soccer is one thing but a concert is another.
Our tennis center holds about 30,000+!!!! An I know how quickly tickets get sold here in Australia!!

So 7500 for the whole of EUROPE is CRAZY!!!

I'm from Geelong which is close to Melbourne.

Yeah, I been listening to Ruslana a long time before her stardome in Eurovision. I loved Svitlo I Tin from the first Album that I listened to.

I have always had a passion for Ukrainian Music, after all i grew up in a Ukrainian household with both parents being Ukrainian.
It makes me so proud to listen to Ruslana cranked up in my car or on my MP3 player as i travel on the train to work!
I love her video clip of "Znaju ja" from her Deki Tansi Album and Each time I watch it i get excited about seeing Ukraine!!

I have never been to Ukraine before and it would really make my time there even more special by seeing my UKRAINIAN IDOL Ruslana perform!

I just wish that there was some way of being able to get a ticket so that I could plan my holiday now.
My time to book is running out and i don't like to leave travel arangements to the last min.

Once again I thank you guys soooo much for making me feel welcome on this website :o) :o)

I noticed Ruslana has put up a few concerts in Feb.
I wonder if she is going to have some more around May/June like Christiane said earlier on.

Hey Christiane thanx for da info about the sports stadium. It's good to know capacity!
I wasn't too far off the 7500 figure i said. Hehehehehe. I think that will probably be the only amount of tix available for the public.
After all sponsors etc get first pick when it comes to tix so 7500 sounds like about the likely figure for tickets available to the public!

Sports Palace is normally capable to host up to 10,000 visitors, but now that they're going to make this overhaul in the nearest future I suspect the capacity would decrease substantially. The figure of 7,500 seems quite possible for me, but dont forget to subtracta certan amount assigned for mass media, VIPs, etc., which leaves us with 6,000 available tickets at most... And since me alone has already got like 10 requests for tickets from my friends abroad... oh my I fear we're not gonna make it. Still no signs of the tickets sale, I've checked ticket offices today:)

Hello everyone. I finally got around to joining the forums :). I'm another Aussie (hi Kreschoid!!!), though I'm from Canberra.

I saw Ruslana on Eurovision, and then did some digging on Google and found www.umka.com.ua and bought her CDs. She's amazingly talented.

I'd love to visit the Ukraine and Russia, but I think it will be a while before I can do that. But a Ruslana gig! That would rock! That gives me another reason to save my pennies faster and get over there :).

oh...do you have place for another one? I will do everything for a ticket. Please keep me updated. Last night I had a stressdream about Kyiv and I guess its because of me waiting on that ticket sale all the time :/ Now its late and I have to plan if I go to Ukraine or not. I assume that they will annouce the details about tickets within short notice so they wont loose control of it....

I also haven´t got any details about the tickets sale yet, but I think, it´s the best way to have a look at http://www.eurovision.tv/english/index.htm to find out more about that.

Yes I mean Ïàëàö Ñïî<eth>òó.
well, after the reconstruction I will get to see it enough anyway. hopefully in person. Thats why its much more interesting to se how it looks now!! I have seen a few pics on it before the reconstruction. I think its fashinating to follow something changing like that.

Well, I envy you alot for beeing able to get tickets so easy. I am so affraid that I wont be able to get my own ticket :(

WOW I envy your location Poisy! Hehehehehe.
I have to move heaven and earth if i want to get a ticket!!
I'm all the way in Australia!
Heheheehehhee.

I think my dream of getting a ticket is not going to happen and thus i may just leave my trip to Ukraine untill August 2005.
Maybe by then Ruslana will have some more concerts posted on her website. I'd really really like to be in the front row waving the biggest Ukrainian flag.
I already made it on the front page of the Ukrainian newspaper here in Australia called Church and Life! Was photographed holding a Uki flag, and sign for the Yushchenko rally in Melbourne.

You know, I wish Ruslana did know how many fans she has here in Australia. She may then consider coming over and performing for us!

Ah if only..................

KEIR -> Canberra, really???? Are u going to the Sydney Malanka??? Coz i'm going to be there. I"m going to the one in Melb tonight (thursday), the one in Geelong Friday night and then flying over to Sydney on Sat to go to malanka there on Sat night!!!

Take care people and enjoy UKI NEW YEARS!!!!!!

I guess there is more than you that has come in the position of not beeing able to attend the ESC in Kyiv due to the late ticketsale. Because its extremely late they will release them. By´ february I have heard. When ESC was in my town in 2000 I bought my ticket in november 1999!!

I'd really really like to be in the front row waving the biggest Ukrainian flag.

that is my dream too. and to singalong to all her songs just to show her I am one of her biggest fans!!

i]I already made it on the front page of the Ukrainian newspape[/i]

is it awailable on the net to watch? It would be cool to see!

Sydney Malanka

what is that?

take care and enjoy UKI yourself as well :)

Well okay I'll take a few pics of Palats Sportu if you insist;))) But the venue is not that good-looking from outside, mind you. Nor inside heh heh, but damned it's hosting the best gigs I ever seen!!!

oh....I would be sooo much happy if you do of course. But dont see it as a hard job to do, if so dont do it! Only if you have time and want to take efforts of it. I really dont want to bother you!! You know I just saw a pic of the inside. Take a look into the topic called "news of ESC 2005". we can anyway move this discussion there. it suits better. but I will just say this now and here. I have seen info of the tickets beeing released in february. It so late!! but I understand they have to get further longer in the reconstruction to say how many tickets is available for us. Oh, my god! I only have this in my mind every day. I will have nightmares about it until I know if I have my own ticket or not.....
